Evidence to Maximise Wellbeing

An evidence institute that provides accessible, robust insights on what is needed, and what works, to maximise wellbeing across different contexts.

Despite increasing investment into positive social change, without robust and accessible evidence to inform decision making, it is not clear if we are making progress or where to focus efforts.

Evidence is produced in accordance with a Standard that is assured by a collective of independent experts across principles of scientific, cultural and ethical integrity. Providing insights for decision makers to direct resources for the greatest impact.

Instead of independently collecting evidence, let's work together!

How are we different?

In addition to sharing research by others, the Wellbeing Intelligence Network has a focus on producing research that employs Subjective Wellbeing Evaluation to reveal what matters for people's wellbeing based on how they are experiencing their life.

Subjective Wellbeing Evaluation reveals factors that have a statistically significant relationship with how someone is experiencing their life (wellbeing), and the weighting of these factors to assist in identifying priority needs.

Instead of applying a ‘one-size fits all’ set of indicators to people across different contexts, this methodology overcomes the challenge of decision makers assuming or imposing a normative stance to ‘what matters’. It ensures that change can be measured and implemented with specific relevance for the people experiencing it.
